Hello my name is Anna and I am in debt to the tune of £18,000. It would be easy to say I don’t know how I managed to incur this much debt, but the fact is I do know how it happened.  I just spend way, way more than my income. I have never saved up for anything. I see something I want, I buy it using a credit card or a store card.
My wake up call – Lloyds TSB increased the interest rate on my credit card, DebtFC advised me to suspend the card but I had great difficulty following this through as I still had £500 still to spend.
I spend my lunch hour wandering through Livingston Shopping centre deciding what to buy to wear at the weekend. Sometimes I order three or four dresses from Next promising myself I will send the ones I do not want back, but I never do I just keep them. 
But I am going to free myself from debt I am not sure if I am going to enter into a DebtFC debt management plan yet, but I am going to cut down my spending on credit and store cards.
